Synopsis:
Beirut is an upcoming American fictional political thriller film directed by Brad Anderson. Starring Jon Hamm and Rosamund Pike in the lead roles, this movie was formerly titled “High Wire Act”. Set against the backdrop of the 1980s Beirut, the movie opens with a scene of Mason Skiles, then U.S. diplomat, delivering a lecture when a militant organization opens fire. His wife is killed in the incident and he is forced to flee Lebanon. Years later, the CIA engage with him and it is revealed that the same extremist group that killed his family, is now holding Cal, his former colleague, hostage. The movie follows Skiles as he tries to navigate the war-torn streets of Lebanon to save his friend.
