Thappad (2020)

Synopsis:

Thappad, an Indian Hindi-language drama movie, follows the story of Amrita and her husband Vikram. He slaps his wife in front of the public at a party where people were celebrating the success of Vikram in the corporate world. This makes Amrita’s world go crumbling down and she is willing to speak up and stand up against the humiliation she faced in public. While her life so far revolved around the wants, dreams, and needs of Vikram, will Amrita brush it off as a one-off accident, forgive him and move on? Or will this shake up her own beliefs regarding life and marriage?
